Challenging pyramidal glass curtain walls and shopfronts, and large-span glass walls and skylights, combine to form a distinctive boutique hotel.

This new eight-storey boutique hotel includes 182 bedrooms, event spaces, and a bar and restaurant.

The unusual facade includes jumbo curtain wall panels with facetted pyramidal glass projections at each hotel room. The facetted glazing continues through the atrium spaces, street awning and street-level shop fronts. The facade geometry includes many challenging interfaces and miters, pushing structurally glazed connections to their limit.

Prism Facades were engaged by main contractor Multiplex to carry out a peer review of the pyramidal curtain wall facade, and we were also separately engaged by specialist facade subcontractor Gleco Enterprises to engineer and certify the large glass atrium and street-level shopfronts.
